Higher education: Boosting cooperation between Tunisia and “Microsoft”
Tunis , May 31, 2008 (TunisiaOnline) --Ways of further boosting cooperation and partnership between Tunisia and “Microsoft”, were explored during a meeting on Saturday in Tunis between Mr Lazhar Bououni, Minister of higher education, scientific research and technology and Mr Ali Faramaoui, vice- executive president of Microsoft for the Middle East and North Africa .
Mr Bououni stressed the excellent relations between Tunisia and Microsoft, notably following the convention signed between the Ministry and the leading software company. He also evoked the Ministry's efforts to anchor digital culture, especially through remote registration and orientation, which lately earned the Ministry, a United Nations distinction.
On his part, Microsoft's representative stressed the efforts made by the company in ensuring the follow up of the quality of software applications and its contribution to the training of Tunisian students to the latest cutting edge computer technologies.
