Tunisian stand in Saragossa attracts some 8000 visitors each day
Tunis , June 27, 2008 (TunisiaOnline)--The Tunisian stand at the Saragossa universal exhibition in Spain which is held from June 14 to September 14, 2008 on the theme “water and sustainable development”, attracts each day some 8000 visitors since the opening of the exhibition.
Several prominent personalities, including ambassadors and ministers who visited the Tunisian stand expressed their admiration for the wealth of Tunisia 's civilizational heritage, in terms of its management of water resources. An important space destined to Tunisian handicrafts and another to thalasso therapy, also attracted the attention of many visitors.
The Spanish media also showed considerable interest for the Tunisian pavilion as shown by the coverage given to it by the newspaper “20 minutes”, which devoted an article to the Tunisian stand.
On the sidelines of the event, the exhibition will celebrate on July 22, Tunisia 's National Day, which will witness the organisation of a forum on the strengthening of cooperation partnership between Tunisia and Spain .
A Tunisian tourism day is also scheduled to take place on August 28, in cooperation with the Ministry of tourism and the Tunisian national tourism board. The event which will feature marketing operations, as well as the organisation of cultural events, is aimed at promoting Tunisian artistic creation.
The Saragossa universal exhibition also features a magisterial work by Sadika , one of Tunisia 's most prominent artists. The sculpture which is composed of clay, ceramics and glass, is a living testimony of the fragility, but also of the resilience of life on earth.
