First promotion of the Tunis school of circus arts performs in the Tunis Medina

Tunis , June 28, 2007 (TunisiaOnline) --A dream come true, the first promotion of the Tunis school of circus arts, tells a story of friendship, cooperation and stamina. Since 2003 when the school was first set up in Tunis , yesterday's students have become through sheer hard work, faith and determination, accomplished circus artists.

On June 26 and 27, they gave their first performance dubbed “Halfaouine” at the Halfaouine square situated  in the Tunis Medina . The spectacle which was realized by the French choreographer Gilles Baron is a token of the spirit cooperation between the Tunisian institution and its French counterpart in Rosny Sous Bois, as well as the friendship between both respective directors, Mr Mohamed Driss and Mr Bernard Turin.

Currently the second promotion is training in France and at the end of their training both Tunisian and French students will give a performance during which they will be tested and the best will be issued with an artistic and technical diploma rewarding their skills.

Incidentally, Tunisia 's first circus promotion has been dubbed the “promotion of the Change”, as a tribute to the support and encouragement given by the Tunisian Head of State to the school ever since its inception.
