Tunisian medical researcher awarded best medical research prize
Tunis , June 25, 2007 (TunisiaOnline)--A Tunisian Professor of medicine, Mrs Jalila Ben Khelil, was awarded the prize of the best medical research in acute asthma related breathing insufficiency. The 5,000 dinar prize was awarded to the Tunisian physician by the Minister of Health, Mr Ridha Kechrid, during a ceremony held in Tunis attended by officials from “Air Liquide”, the prize's sponsors.
The minister hailed the initiative of “Air Liquide”, shedding light on the importance of this prize in the sector of breathing insufficiency. He also stressed the importance of Dr Ben Khelil's research noting that currently some five thousand Tunisians are affected by this illness and are totally oxygen- dependant.
“Air Liquide” is a Tunisian company specializing in the production of medical gas and more precisely therapeutic gas, breathing assistance and conservation.
