Carthage Acropolium celebrates electronic music
Tunis, June 21, 2007 ( TunisiaOnline)--Three shows celebrating digital music are currently held in the Carthage Acropolium. A relatively new genre in Tunisia, this new sound dubbed “underground music” was destined to a specific audience, however gradually this artistic trend developed to become very popular.
Nowadays, digital musicians like ‘Martin Solveig'or DJ ‘Symbiose' are viewed as emergent and prolific talents. Their music can be defined as the association of computers with synthesizers in sound production.
The event jointly organized by Afka production, the Electric Echos association and the festival “Nuit Sonore Lyon”, is a propitious occasion for national artists to earn themselves a reputation and for the Tunisian public to attend performances by international artists like ‘Patricia Moor', ‘DJ2D2' and ‘the Platcian', a DJ from the UK.
The closing of the ‘festival' will take place on June 24 with a show by ‘DJ Meek' from Canada , as well as ‘Superpitcher' from Germany and ‘Luke Vibert' from the UK .
