Tunisia calls for an immediate end to confrontation and bloodshed in the Palestinian territories

Tunis, June 15, 2007 (TunisiaOnline) --The Tunisian ministry of foreign affairs called Friday for an end to inter-palestinian fighting.

The sattement expressed Tunisia's deep concern and called on "all parties for an immediate end to confrontation and bloodshed." It also called fo "the  for logic and reason to prevail, as well as the choice of dialogue, so as to preserve the unity of the Palestinian people and its capacities, in the service of its supreme national interests."

"Based on its constant position of support for the Palestinian cause, Tunisia insists on the necessity to respect constitutional institutions and compromises and agreements, so that the Palestinian cause remains the top priority of all efforts aiming at reaching a just and global settlement of this cause”, added the statement.
