Tunisian Foreign Minister holds talks with US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice

Tunis , June 14, 2007 (TunisiaOnline) --Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Abdelwahab Abdallah, met  Wednesday with the American Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice.

The meeting took place at the US State Department in the presence of Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs David Welch.

 The two parties discussed the latest developments in the Middle East expressing their common preoccupation with the deterioration of the situation in the Palestinian territories. They also discussed the necessity to grant further aid to the African continent .

Mr Abdallah highlighted the substantial reforms undertaken by Tunisia during the last 20 years in all fields, as well as the country's strides towards global and sustainable development under the leadership of President Ben Ali.
