Collective Italian painting exhibit in Tunis retraces eighty years of contemporary Italian artistic creation
Tunis , June 6, 2007 (TunisiaOnline)--An exhibit dubbed “Dialogue between generations, from futurism to nowadays” is currently held at the “ Kheiredine Palace ” museum in Tunis. The collective exhibit which witnesses the participation of several Italian painters will run until June 30, 2007.
The event is organized by the municipality of Tunis with the collaboration of the Italian embassy, within the framework of the Tunisian-Italian cultural cooperation.
The paintings exhibited, feature works that extend from the post first world war era to 2004.
Prominent painters like Balla Giacomo, Fontana Lucio, Depro Fortunato, Guidi Virgilio and some other renowned visual artists take part in the exhibit.
The works exposed in “ Kheiredine Palace ” offer a wide range of the Italian artistic scene, including sculpture and graphic arts. They display the different influences and changes that have affected Italian art from the beginning of cubism to the post modern era.
