8 th edition of the Sousse International Internet Festival to promote ICT culture

Tunis , July 13, 2007 (TunisiaOnline)--The 8th edition of the Internet Summer Festival is to be held in Sousse from August 30 to September 2, 2007.

The event which is jointly organized by the Tunisian Association of Internet and Multimedia (ATIM) and the "Basma" charity organization aimed at promoting employment among people with disabilities, along with the collaboration of other government and private associations, is primarily destined to promote the use of ICT's in people's daily lives.

Two major themes will be at the core of the event, "the citizen and e-administration" and "mobile computer services."

For four days the festival will attract all categories of people  in an attempt to familiarize them with the use of new technologies in their daily chores. These include online services such as online payment, online registrations and on line health services.

The program which was set up by ATIM comprises a wide range of activities varying from entertainment shows to workshops.

On the academic side, four conferences pertaining to the festival's two major themes, will be held during a dinner-evening which will be attended by distinguished multimedia specialists.
