Hammamet Festival offers rich program with focus on theater
Tunis , July 7, 2007 (TunisiaOnline)--The International Hammamet Festival which will run from July 15 to August 21, 2007 will offer a variety of perfomances.
The 43 rd edition of this festival will shed light on drama thus featuring seven theatrical companies. A Tunisian adaptation of Shakespeare's tragic play, Othello, is scheduled for the opening; while "Mawall", a Tunisian play, is scheduled for the closing event.
Western artists will be featured through the performances of two famous ballets: the Flamenco Ballet of Andalusia and the Russian Ballet Igor Moisseyev.
National and foreign Folklore troupes such as Folkloric Mexican Troup and the Folklore Troup of Errachidia are also part of the festival's program.
Access to some of the shows in this year's festival will be free of charge.
