Tunisian studio attracts major American cinematographic production

"Empire Production Studio", a Tunisian film-making studio based in Hammamet, is currently the shooting site of an American film entitled "The Last Legion". It is the eighth film shot at the location.

Mr Mohamed El Aziz Ben Achour, Tunisian Minister of Culture and Heritage Preservation, visited the site this week and took cognizance of the project which employs more than two hundred Tunisian and international cinema technicians.

The Minister highlighted the importance of this project in strengthening Tunisia's role as a high-level movie- making destination

Tunisia has served as the shooting-site of such major film productions as "Star Wars", "The English Patient" and "Raiders of the Lost Arch".
