Head of State presides over cabinet meeting focusing on the preparations of the 2005 WSIS

President Ben Ali chaired Thursday a cabinet meeting focusing on the preparations for the second phase of the Tunis World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) to be held in Tunis, on November 16-18, 2005.
The meeting reviewed the preparations underway for the Summit both at the material and organizational levels, as well as the Summit's preparatory meetings held at the regional and international levels .
The Tunisian Head of State reaffirmed the need for further efforts in order to ensure the "coordination at the international level between the different parties, governments, private sector and civil society." He also called for continued efforts "in order to ensure the best possible conditions for the Summit".
